1. Cut the pipe to required length with the special pipe cutter.
2. Ream the pipe by pushing the reamer into the pipe and turning. This cuts the pipe end straight while cutting chamfers on the inside and outside of the pipe end. The design of the reamer will privet shavings from falling into the pipe.
3. Inspect the stainless steel sleeve for any cracks and then fit it over the pipe to be flush with pipe end.
Carefully push the fitting into the pipe until it clips into the white collar without dislocating the
O-rings, and without moving the sleeve away from the pipe end.
Crimp the sleeve with a crimping tool.
1. Locate the tools jaws tight against the collar.
2. Compress the sleeve by closing the crimping tool until the handles meet and make a “clicking” sound. Do this only once.
Bend the pipe to the desired angle using the correct size bending spring or hydraulic bender.
Visually inspect the fitting and test the crimp with the crimp gauge if needed.

Pressure Testing

All pressure testing should be undertaken in accordance with AS/NZS 5601:2010 Appendix E (for gas installations) or AS/NZS 3500 (for water installations) in addition to any other local regulations or requirements.
